“Don’t waste your leftover candle wax! Make wax melts. I got so many from my burnt-out candles. My name is Kassidy, and newly married. I am a house wife, so I spend lot of time at home and I love for it to smell good at all times. I remember for a long time, I was so frustrated because I had so many expensive candles that had so much leftover wax.

I was wasting perfectly good wax, throwing them away and not getting the most out of my candle. I always knew I could put it in a melter, but I was trying to figure out a way to get the wax out of the jar and make melts without making a huge mess.

I saw a lady on YouTube putting her candles in a pot to melt them and I thought, ‘Hey that might work.’ I tried it out and it worked so well I wanted to share it with my friends!

Let me give you some tips to make it easier:

  1. When your candle melts use tongs to take the wicks out, so they don’t make your wax black.
  2. Put melted wax into a liquid measuring cup to make it easier to pour.
  3. Put your silicone mold on a baking tray before pouring (I made this mistake).
  4. Put in the fridge for 15 minutes to harden.

The mold is from Walmart and it’s about $5. I’ve been told you can find them at Dollar Tree too!

I want people to take away that you can always use what you have and make something awesome.

I think we shouldn’t be wasteful because so many times we throw things away that we can totally reuse for something else. Happy Halloween!”
